In Black Nonetheless

Last from the Taiwan coordinate post. Took me so much time to post all my coordinate from our trip in Taiwan.

You could have known by now that black and gray are my totally favorite and “to-go” to colors. Good thing that I wore this ensemble during our trip in Yehliu as the afternoon heat is not bearable for the skin but at the same time cold wind passes thru. So it is a win-win situation to keep myself warm and at the same time protect my skin to some harsh UVA.

Denim and Stripes

I have been missing the cool weather and the option to do layering for your coordinates. I am stuck wearing light clothing and fabric for my everyday wear. Summer is on full blast and I am not really a summer person. I prefer cooler weather over hot ones (who doesn’t by the way) . I wish that our country has spring and autumn season. I am constantly reminded that we always look for something that we do not have, and for this instance, the weather.

I have been busy the last few months that I almost forgot that I still have pending outfit/coordinate post from our Taiwan trip last January. Back to Taiwan, where weather is cooler and layering is essential. I wish that we will have Taiwan’s weather here and I’ll have the excuse to wear the jackets and coats.

To Each A Peach

I was never the type of person who go for full power color coordination when it comes to my outfit. I guess my aesthetic is all about muted and monochromatic tones. From time to time, I like to surprise myself with a little bit of splash of color for my coordinates.

Shady

Second outfit post from our recent Taiwan trip. This coordinate is among the very first one that pops in my mind when I was looking through my pile of clothes when we started to plan for our Taiwan trip. As usual, the base of the whole ensemble is from my love of stripes and black bottoms. The combination mixes well with the peach coat.

A Magical Place – Xinshe Castle

Greens Are My Friends

I also planned to wear this outfit on the day that we will visit places which involve flowers and nature. On the day I wore this ensemble,  that day we visited Taichung where Xinshe Castle and Zhong She Flower Market are located. The outfit really blends well with the rustic feel of Xinshe Castle and the blooming ambiance of the flower market. Just to let you know of a little secret, the Taichung part of our trip is my absolute favorite part of our Taiwan trip.

Winter Gray

It has been months since my last post and here is some outfit blog post from my recent trip in Taiwan. So recent that I just arrived back home and started sorting out pictures for my blog entries.

There is so much to say about Taiwan and will detail all them on my next few blog entries. For all I can say right now is that Taiwan is by far one of the best places I have been to, everything is amazing – from food, sights and people!

Our trip in Taiwan is in the middle of the winter. Though snow is scarce in Taiwan (snow can be found on top of the mountains where you still need to trek or something), the wind still brings cold weather. When we arrived, it was around 8 degrees and averaging to 11-15 degrees which by the way is considered cold for those who are living in a tropical country. Good for me though that I always prefer the cold weather over the hot one.

You should have known by now that gray is one of my most favorite color and I love playing with monotone ensembles. Recently, you have seen me in all black but very seldom is an all gray look. Gray also looks good with colorful and playful background which also happened that we visited such colorful places when I wore the ensemble.

Black Is My Happy Color

No surprises, once again I am wearing black for our weekend walk/visit in Intramuros, Manila.

Black is a staple color in my closet and what really nice with this color is it never go out of trend. You can easily match it with any color.

Casa Manila

No matter what color you wear, what’s most important is you are comfortable of what you are wearing. We have different definition of comfortable, some define it as cmfy itself and while others might define it of showing who they truly are. You have to find a style that fits you make sure that it represents who you are.

Painted Blue on Blue

I know I have been a fan of monotone colors like black and gray. I will always be a fan of those color for like forever. I find those colors easy to match with everything. Though from time to time, you crave for something different.

A Happy Kind of Blue

I also noticed that aside from blacks and grays, my sight is somehow attracted to blues. Especially these last few weeks. Maybe I am missing the beach as I only visited one beach destination this year.

Blues Versus Grays and Greens

I’ve worn this ensemble to recent coffee crawl which we visited four coffeeshops in a day. The outfit lets me move comfortably and is made for walking from coffee house to another. Also, with the blues I’ve worn also compliment the neutral color palette of the coffee house we have visited. Stay tuned for my blog entry about our Makati coffee crawl soon.

Black and Casual

As you have known by now, I am big fan of black. Black is among one of the colors that looks great with any colors.

Happiness

Black Wall with Pink Details

Since it has been a long time since I had an outfit post, I decided to go all out black for this outfit post. I’ve decided to go all casual and all black. Used this ensemble for an afternoon catch-up with friends. Also recently, I’ve been very attracted to anything Disney related specifically Mickey Mouse. Good thing that one of my most faverite fast fashion labels, Uniqlo, always have these collaboration with Disney.

In The Mood For Blue Summer

Summer has been my favorite part of the year as this is the perfect time to enjoy the beach. But here in the Philippines, summer is “almost” an all year long season. You can visit the beach anytime (except when there is a tropical storm or low pressure area) to enjoy the sun and get some tan.

Smile, The Sun is Out

It is innate for those living in tropical countries to choose the summer season over the wet seasons. Honestly though, I am still wishfully thinking that our country has autumn and spring (and forego the winter season).

This outfit post way long overdue as this was taken during our trip in Cebu back in October 2016. I will be posting my travel diaries soon so please watch out.

Looking For Something?

Gorgeous back drop was courtesy of Virgin Island in Sante Fe, Banatayan, Cebu. I highly recommend this island ad a visit when you are in Cebu. Bantayan has a lot to offer.

Mood for Some Blue

I have been wearing a lot of blues recently and is becoming one of my faves after black and gray. The H&M shorts are not actually under the swimwear line but they are so cute that I decided to bring them to the beach.

Black Out

Nowadays, I opt to go for minimalist look compared to when I was younger I have tendency to go for maximalist. I don’t know if this is a sign of maturity (or ageing – whatever you call it. LOL).

Black Is One Of My Faves

When I cleaned my closet before Christmas, all I see is a sea of muted colors of black, whites and grays with sometimes hint of blues and very minimal to none for loud colors. I guess my affinity to muted colors is because of my ever changing hair colors. I promise to blog about my hair color adventures soon, so better stay tuned. Even my to-go-to colors for shoes are gearing toward grays and blacks. I really think that the streamlined Asian aesthetic influenced me to go for this style. I like how simple pieces make up interesting overall look (topped by the my light pink hair).

Ever wonder where this wonderful place is? It is in The Alley At Karrivin in Makati City. The hidden place houses some furniture shops, flower shop, restaurant and very great coffee shop named “Writer’s Block”. I think I’ll also start blogging about my coffee adventures too?

Gray Matters Most

Gray has been my to-go-to color and it has been a constant color on my OOTDs. I know I’ve said this before that whenever I go to a store my eyes gravitates first to grays and blacks. Another reason I love picking up grays for my OOTDs is because it is one of the colors that you can easily mix and match with almost everything. If you want monotony and minimalist, pair it with black. If you want to go all out kawaii, pair it with killer colors. You can never go wrong with grays, in my own opinion.

Gray

In The Midst Of All The Colors

What is really fascinating too is that it my gray wardrobe pieces can easily coordinate with my ever changing hair color. This is a proven fact – I’ve tried pink (light and dark), purple, lilac, violet and blonde, and all those hair colors really coordinated well with gray pieces.

Since, I kind of said it this post that I almost tried all sort of colors, please stay tuned for my next entry to know more how I get those funky, kawaii and pastel hair colors. Details really soon (I promise!)
