Without Black, No Color Has Any Depth

Baler has been so much fun not only because of the waves but also of a lot of touristy spots you can explore . Been planning this trip to Baler for weeks but still very clueless to what expect. Well I guess, this Baler trip has really been a surprise (in a very good way) and will post blog entries about my trip in Baler soon.

For my first day in Baler, I opted to wear an outfit that is comfortable and will be able to shield me from the sun. I guess my idea of blocking off UV rays with a black ensemble is a no-no. Anyways, comfort is the key for vacations and travels. Right? As you probably know by now, black is one color I can’t live without. Any given time, I go for monotone colors rather then the striking ones. What is very good with black is you can pair it with every colors there are, and I love mixing my blacks with pastels, neons and a whole lot of colors.

Baguio (Part 2): Museum Day At BenCab

This is the part of our Baguio trip I can’t wait to share. On our first day in Baguio, we (well I insisted) planned to go to an art gallery. This is no way just a simple art gallery but one run and owned by National Artist Benedicto Reyes Cabrera or better yet know as BenCab. I’ve been dying to visit this museum years ago and when I finally had the chance to visit Baguio with my friends, I make sure that this would be part of our itinerary.

The museum is not the usual Baguio spot as compared to Burnham Park and Minesview. Less people are going to the place maybe because it way out of the city center. They were doing road repairs at that time but lucky for us, it didn’t take us as much travel time as what I’ve read from my research. It took us less than a 45-minute drive to reach the museum and I bet once the road repairs are done it would take maybe a 20 minute drive to BenCab. Despite that fact, I recommend every Baguio tourist to visit BenCab Museum.

Baguio (Part 1): Early Morning Walk

Finally, I am so excited about this entry and the following entries. I’ve been planning/ editing all the write-ups, etc and here it is finally! Our short but very memorable visit to the Highlands of the Philippines. Ok, I was the only one who came up with that highland title. The official titles of Baguio City are “Summer Capital of the Philippines” and “City of Pines”.

It has been ages since the last time I visited Baguio and officially, this would be my first proper visit to this city and as you can tell, I am very excited for this particular trip. You all know that from my previous travel posts, that I mostly do beach travel diaries only. That needs to change soon as I am planning to do more city travel diaries and of course living in a tropical country, I am planning to visit more beaches soon.

Cold As Gray

For the 2nd day of our short trip in Baguio City last November 2014, I opted to wear comfortable ensemble because we planned to do some sight seeing/ walking (like a tourist) and some side trip to La Trinidad, Benguet.

For travel such as this, wearing comfortable clothes is a must. So that you can move freely and snap those photos away without looking very uncomfortable.
