After so much time, I got the chance to blog again.
Since, this was way long overdue, I was still sporting pink pastel hair and still kinda long. I already moved to kind of dark brown silky shiny hair. There are just those time that you will feel that you need to move on and have a change.
The entire look is still very summer despite that this was taken early March: from stripped top, baggy (ahjumma-kinda look) pants to juicy blushed face.
Waiting for a Summer Breeze
Stripes are staple to my closet and I have tons of them. This stripped shirt is from H&M. Baggy straight pants are trendy nowadays and we even sometimes joke around that it is kind of reminscent of “ahjumma” style. I think I have been watching a lot of K-Drama recently tho. Straight baggy cropped pants are just perfect for summer season as it is relaxed and can easily mixed with almost everything. Lastly, finished the look with a clean beige slip-ons from Cotton On.
‘Til the next pose & post!
PS. Summer is in full bloom here in the tropics. I honestly wish we have spring or autumn over here.
Gray has been my to-go-to color and it has been a constant color on my OOTDs. I know I’ve said this before that whenever I go to a store my eyes gravitates first to grays and blacks. Another reason I love picking up grays for my OOTDs is because it is one of the colors that you can easily mix and match with almost everything. If you want monotony and minimalist, pair it with black. If you want to go all out kawaii, pair it with killer colors. You can never go wrong with grays, in my own opinion.
In The Midst Of All The Colors
What is really fascinating too is that it my gray wardrobe pieces can easily coordinate with my ever changing hair color. This is a proven fact – I’ve tried pink (light and dark), purple, lilac, violet and blonde, and all those hair colors really coordinated well with gray pieces.
Gray Oversized Top from Uniqlo. Black with Red Accent Sneakers from New Balance.
Since, I kind of said it this post that I almost tried all sort of colors, please stay tuned for my next entry to know more how I get those funky, kawaii and pastel hair colors. Details really soon (I promise!)
Stripes are something I can consider as staple in my closet. I have almost all manageable style of stripes you can think of and my most favorite one is the black and white thin style. As far as I remember, I have been wearing stripes all my life. I even saw a baby picture of myself wearing this style.
As you would have known by now, I love simple and clean aesthetic. I even reference my style as “minimalist kawaii”. Stripes are something that I can easily mix and match to my style. You can wear this style no matter the season is. You only need to know when to wear the best perfect stripes for the occasion or season.
Simple Yet Cute
I really find it amazing when I see a stripes style with an “attitude”. Something shouts “I am not a normcore stripes” but at the same time still a classic staple. I find this very amusing top from Uniqlo UT collection which features capsule collection for different themes. I personally love these shirts from Uniqlo that I always make sure to include Uniqlo on my shopping trip every time. Aside from that, Uniqlo has got me hooked because of their clean and classic aesthetic.
By the way, I am wearing a combination from Uniqlo. Both top and bottom are from Uniqlo. Top is from Uniqlo Dick Bruna UT Collection.
This probably the quickest that I’ve blogged so far. Just arrived from an out of town trip last night with my college best friend and I’ve already done a little bit of edit and draft. This is a really good sign.
This is the first outfit blog from my recent trip in Batangas (where else but to the beach). We are so lucky to be living in a tropical country that makes it far from impossible to visit a beach whenever you want to. Well, except maybe for a few days when rain is unbearable.
Summer in September
Close Up and Make Up Look
Recently, I have this fascination with blue tones. Whenever I do my shopping, blues always attract my eyes. I also think that blues mixes well with my peach/ pink hair. The combination of blues and pinks brings a more youthful feel.

Sleeveless Top from H&M. Black Swim Shorts from H&M. Matte Black Shades from Sunnies. Straw Hat from Forever21.
Summer might be officially over but my summer pool photos and coordinates are still deep. Reason for that is that I was very busy that I barely have time to blog. Just waiting for things to stabilize and will definitely go back to regular programming.
For this style post, let’s throwback to my first trip to Boracay this year when summer was in its full power.
Pool Of Dark
I opted to wear a dark themed coordinate which contrasts my light dipped dye hair.
Summer It Is
Sleeveless Top from Forever 21. Shorts from H&M. Round Sunnies from Coachella X H&M. Long Sleeves Plaid (used as a wrap around) from Oxygen Clothing.
Ever since I moved to a light pink hair, my affinity to something light or nude has increased as well. It is not something new but amidst all my monotone gradients in my closet, I find myself buying more and more pastels (or light colors). I honestly think that some of the hair colors have sipped in my brain so that nudes and pastels will rule my buying impulse.
Basic, Clean and Sweet
For this look, I’m going for a sweet, basic look that compliments my light pink hair. Thanks to my light pink hair, I always get stopped at shops/ boutiques and get compliments for my hair. I think so far, this is the best hair color I had and planning to keep them until the end of the year.
Sweet Pose, All The Time
Boxy Stripped Top from Uniqlo. Dry Pleated Relaxed Pants from Uniqlo. White Leather Sandals from Milano.
Light Tones, ‘Erday
I’ll be making a blog post about my hair pink soon and all the products I used to inspire you to be not afraid to be more experimental with your hair. So watch this space.

White has been a staple color for the summer season. All throughout my vacation and out of towns this year, it seems that the prevailing color is white. Well quite honestly, white has been the “to go to” color for summer. Maybe because it was said to attract less heat? I really do not know but white is almost synonymous with summer.
White and Serenity
Captured The Light
It is quite easy to don a white ensemble as it matches perfectly with almost all colors just like black and gray for a basic normcore look or you can match white with loud colors like pink or purple for a youthful summer look.
For this coordinate, I paired a white printed shirt with my fave color as my bottom and topped with a wide brimmed hat.
Staples: Black and White
Summer printed white shirt from H&M. Hat is from H&M. Bag from Cotton On. Shades from Sunnies.
Please watch out for the first entry from my Summer Diary series this year coming very soon. So watch this space! I think you might have guess where the first destination is?
Dressing up on the beach is really tricky but at the same time a challenge I enjoy doing. Why do I say that? Mainly because when you buy your outfit pre-vacation: your skin is lighter, hair is the perfect color (for me blonde) and you tried to get ready for your vacation by being a little too watchful of what you eat. Then when you beach vacation starts: you eat (a lot!), stay in the sun longer (because you have so much fun and it’s always picture perfect under the sun) and your hair becomes more brassy (in case for my blonde hair – thanks to the sea).
Cue Beyonce’s “Deja Vu”
For this summer, I tried (planned?) to be as colorful and bold on my coordinates but whenever I see monotones, my mind always says, “that’s perfect for you!”. So what better thing to do? Pack all the most colorful pieces you have and bring some blacks and gray. It’s just a matter of mixing and finding the balance for your coordinates.
Geometric Print Sleeveless Top from Uniqlo. Swim Shorts from Robinson’s. Cover-up from H&M. Shades from Sunnies Studios.
Fashion has no rules. Style is what makes you an individual. Experiment with your coordinates. Have fun under the sun and get a tan. And most importantly, be confident.
By now, you should have known that my to go to color is black. I think the last couple of OOTDs I posted have either black on it or it is an all-black ensemble. Whenever I go shopping, my brain autopilots to the blacks first then to grays and lastly to the other colors.
This is my second style post from my February vacation in Ilocos region and stay tuned to my travel diaries which are coming really soon. Going for a minimalist kawaii look which is quite a trend now on Asian Style scene.
Black and Pink Hair
This all black ensemble compliments my pink dipped blonde hair that I have been rocking since the start of the year.

Long Tailed slogan shirt from Oxygen. Tattered Skinny Pants from Topshop. Bag from Penshoppe.
What it is with stripes that I always tend to buy a lot of those? I really don’t know but what I am sure of is whenever I step on a store my feet will be on autopilot and will lead me directly to the stripes section/area. You can always rely on those classic lines if you are planning your ensembles for a vacation or simply for a day’s outfit. Vacation always comes in mind when you talk about stripes as it is very synonymous with nautical aesthetic. Well, thank you Popeye the Sailor Man.
What I love about stripes is it never goes out of style. We can consider it as a forever staple (if such term exists?). Remember Breakfast at Tifanny’s? That was in the early 60s and Audrey Hepburn was rocking the stripes ensemble like it was 2014. How I love the great Audrey Hepburn!
Thin Stripes And Black & White Combo
For this coordinate, the stripes long sleeves is from UNIQLO. Thights is from BODY MUSIC.
Stripes Me Up!
Way before Uniqlo was available in Manila, my aunt used to ship this brand straight from Japan. I remember my very first Uniqlo piece, it was a snow white pullover which by the way, I still use especially during the -ber months. Body Music is a local sportwear-slash-athletic brand, which is available at Landmark and Crossing’s Department Store, is actually my to go brand for leggings and thights.
I really love how blacks and whites interact with each other. Those colors are perfectly made for each other, don’t you agree?
