Officially the first part of our Taiwan trip last January 2018. First stop: Ximenting.
We have decided to visit Ximenting first as our accommodation is in Ximen area, how clever, right? If you like convenience on almost everything, staying in the Ximen area is actually a very good idea. If you are a first-time tourist in Taipei, Ximen and Taipei Central Station areas are actually good locations to scout for your accommodation/ hotel. Honestly, when I go back to Taiwan as a solo traveler or with friends. Family, I will opt to stay in the Ximen area again.
Going back to Ximenting, it is like the Harajuku of Tokyo and Myeongdong of Seoul. It is a” pedestrian maze” full of restaurants, shops, malls, gift shops and make-up shops! I can walk the area for the entire 6 hours and so and will not get tired of just roaming around and checking the shops one by one (which by the way, we did not just once but I think thrice!)
For me, experiencing Ximenting is a must when you visit Taipei. Make sure to drop by once during day time and once during nighttime. There is a different charisma when you visit it during daytime and nighttime. You can also enjoy a small night market in the adjoining space near the Red House for some fancy art stuff and trinkets for your souvenir.
Last from the Taiwan coordinate post. Took me so much time to post all my coordinate from our trip in Taiwan.
You could have known by now that black and gray are my totally favorite and “to-go” to colors. Good thing that I wore this ensemble during our trip in Yehliu as the afternoon heat is not bearable for the skin but at the same time cold wind passes thru. So it is a win-win situation to keep myself warm and at the same time protect my skin to some harsh UVA.
Black Jacket from Zara. Gray Hoodie from Terranova. Cotton Leggings from H&M. Shoes from Puma.
Jumpers are recollection of my childhood days. I remember looking at old photos and seeing myself dressed in 90s jumpers put a little smile on my face.
Since 90s influence has been sort of making a comeback, I think it’s about time to try to pull a look while trying in some layering in windy Taiwan.
Chiang Kai Shek
It’s kind of tricky to pull out the look as I want to avoid looking full-on 90s and I also want to make it look fresh (hopefully). Then one day, weeks before our trip in Taiwan, I happened to watch a Korean variety show and saw one person wearing long sleeves under his jumper and I said that maybe I could give it a try. Viola, I love how everything coordinates well and layering works on cold weather (Thanks for the semi-Winter, Taiwan!). Luckily, I wore this outfit on our first day before we devour all the delicious food in Taiwan.
Denim Jumper from Forever21. Stripped Long Sleeves from Uniqlo. Heattech Innerwear from Uniqlo.
I was never the type of person who go for full power color coordination when it comes to my outfit. I guess my aesthetic is all about muted and monochromatic tones. From time to time, I like to surprise myself with a little bit of splash of color for my coordinates.
Second outfit post from our recent Taiwan trip. This coordinate is among the very first one that pops in my mind when I was looking through my pile of clothes when we started to plan for our Taiwan trip. As usual, the base of the whole ensemble is from my love of stripes and black bottoms. The combination mixes well with the peach coat.
A Magical Place – Xinshe Castle
Greens Are My Friends
I also planned to wear this outfit on the day that we will visit places which involve flowers and nature. On the day I wore this ensemble, that day we visited Taichung where Xinshe Castle and Zhong She Flower Market are located. The outfit really blends well with the rustic feel of Xinshe Castle and the blooming ambiance of the flower market. Just to let you know of a little secret, the Taichung part of our trip is my absolute favorite part of our Taiwan trip.
Peach Coat from Forever21. Stripped Long Sleeves from Uniqlo. Black Skinny Jeans from Topshop.
It has been months since my last post and here is some outfit blog post from my recent trip in Taiwan. So recent that I just arrived back home and started sorting out pictures for my blog entries.
There is so much to say about Taiwan and will detail all them on my next few blog entries. For all I can say right now is that Taiwan is by far one of the best places I have been to, everything is amazing – from food, sights and people!
Our trip in Taiwan is in the middle of the winter. Though snow is scarce in Taiwan (snow can be found on top of the mountains where you still need to trek or something), the wind still brings cold weather. When we arrived, it was around 8 degrees and averaging to 11-15 degrees which by the way is considered cold for those who are living in a tropical country. Good for me though that I always prefer the cold weather over the hot one.
You should have known by now that gray is one of my most favorite color and I love playing with monotone ensembles. Recently, you have seen me in all black but very seldom is an all gray look. Gray also looks good with colorful and playful background which also happened that we visited such colorful places when I wore the ensemble.
Gray Kimono Jacket from SMYTH. White Short Sleeved Turtleneck from SMYTH. Cropped Gray Trousers from Folded and Hung. Gray Sneakers from Puma.
Hope you like my take on this winter and all-gray ensemble.
‘Til the next pose & post!
No surprises, once again I am wearing black for our weekend walk/visit in Intramuros, Manila.
Black is a staple color in my closet and what really nice with this color is it never go out of trend. You can easily match it with any color.
No matter what color you wear, what’s most important is you are comfortable of what you are wearing. We have different definition of comfortable, some define it as cmfy itself and while others might define it of showing who they truly are. You have to find a style that fits you make sure that it represents who you are.

My Happy Color
I stumbled upon Outlines.ln ‘s Instagram page and instantly fell in love with their aesthetic especially their black canvas bags. I am instantly a fan and will look forward to my next purchase with them. You can check their IG page by clicking HERE.
I know I have been a fan of monotone colors like black and gray. I will always be a fan of those color for like forever. I find those colors easy to match with everything. Though from time to time, you crave for something different.
A Happy Kind of Blue
I also noticed that aside from blacks and grays, my sight is somehow attracted to blues. Especially these last few weeks. Maybe I am missing the beach as I only visited one beach destination this year.
Blues Versus Grays and Greens
I’ve worn this ensemble to recent coffee crawl which we visited four coffeeshops in a day. The outfit lets me move comfortably and is made for walking from coffee house to another. Also, with the blues I’ve worn also compliment the neutral color palette of the coffee house we have visited. Stay tuned for my blog entry about our Makati coffee crawl soon.
In The Middle of It All

As you have known by now, I am big fan of black. Black is among one of the colors that looks great with any colors.
Black Wall with Pink Details
Since it has been a long time since I had an outfit post, I decided to go all out black for this outfit post. I’ve decided to go all casual and all black. Used this ensemble for an afternoon catch-up with friends. Also recently, I’ve been very attracted to anything Disney related specifically Mickey Mouse. Good thing that one of my most faverite fast fashion labels, Uniqlo, always have these collaboration with Disney.

Cutie Look In Black
This is also the first outfit post with darker hair color in like two or three years. I will let do a blogpost about my DIY hair color adventure soon, so please stay tuned!

First time to attend Art Fair Philippines. I have been wanting to see this yearly event in The Link, Ayala but it’s either I have a different plan on the same date or I don’t have someone to join me in Art Fair.
13 Reasons Tapes
Not Even Perfect
For 2017, I made sure that I will be able attend the fair and I was not disappointed. The place which was originally a parking building housed a lot of art that entices the senses. There are even installations and interactive pieces that you can touch and play around. What I really enjoyed the most is that the fair showcased variety of art that appeals to different people.

Amnesia by Takahiro Hirabayashi – This My Ultimate Fave Piece from This Year’s ArtFair
Part two and second day of our trip to this wonderful place in Bataan, Philippines.
Chillin’ And Windblown Hair
Lights in The Noon
One day is not enough to take in what Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar offers. There are a lot to see and every corner of this property is instagrammable.
Time Travel Thru a Tram
The walking tour from the first day almost covered what you want to see in the whole property and we used our second day like our own personal time to look more closely to the different houses and appreciate the architecture and design a little bit more.
Wide Space, Cobblestone and Pink Haired Me
Believe it or not, we were not able to come near the beach as we were too busy with taking in the beauty of the entire place. Too bad that I even brought some swimwear but in the end was not able to use them. Maybe I’ll use them on my next beach trip instead.
One of My Ultima Fave Spots in Las Casas
This quick and somehow educational trip is a way to start my summer (or maybe the only summer trip I have this year 😂) and I see myself in the near future that I’ll be coming back to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar to see the new houses and attraction this place has to offer.
