Family Vacation in Boracay (Part 4)

Last part of the my photoblog series of our family vacation in Boracay.

Willy’s Rock

Serene Boracay Sanda

We have really enjoyed this trip in Boracay and our family is looking forward to more trips like this in the future. Maybe not in the next two years as we are expecting another addition to our small family soon. I am looking forward to welcoming my new nephew in the next few days. Just a little trivia, whenever a new member to the family is coming, my brother and sister-in-law always make sure to visit Boracay.

Greenery, All The Time

Sun Kissed Blush

One last time to enjoy the serene white sands and enjoy the lasting summer vibe from this island.

Family Vacation in Boracay (Part 3)

The beach is a happy place for me and what really makes me happy is that one of the best beaches in the world is just an hour airplane ride away from Manila (well, of course minus the traffic en route to the NAIA).

In The Mood For Blue Summer

Summer has been my favorite part of the year as this is the perfect time to enjoy the beach. But here in the Philippines, summer is “almost” an all year long season. You can visit the beach anytime (except when there is a tropical storm or low pressure area) to enjoy the sun and get some tan.

Smile, The Sun is Out

It is innate for those living in tropical countries to choose the summer season over the wet seasons. Honestly though, I am still wishfully thinking that our country has autumn and spring (and forego the winter season).

This outfit post way long overdue as this was taken during our trip in Cebu back in October 2016. I will be posting my travel diaries soon so please watch out.

Looking For Something?

Gorgeous back drop was courtesy of Virgin Island in Sante Fe, Banatayan, Cebu. I highly recommend this island ad a visit when you are in Cebu. Bantayan has a lot to offer.

Sleeveless top is from Factorie. Shorts from H&M.

Mood for Some Blue

I have been wearing a lot of blues recently and is becoming one of my faves after black and gray. The H&M shorts are not actually under the swimwear line but they are so cute that I decided to bring them to the beach.

Wraparound

I have this fascination that you might have noticed from the last couple of resort wear style blogs I posted before.

Long Stretch

Wrap Me Around

The last couple of beach trips, I always brought with me some wrap arounds, cardigans or pullovers. I really find it useful to bring at least one on your beach trip as you can use it in different ways.

Deep Blue

This probably the quickest that I’ve blogged so far. Just arrived from an out of town trip last night with my college best friend and I’ve already done a little bit of edit and draft. This is a really good sign.

This is the first outfit blog from my recent trip in Batangas (where else but to the beach). We are so lucky to be living in a tropical country that makes it far from impossible to visit a beach whenever you want to. Well, except maybe for a few days when rain is unbearable.

Close Up and Make Up Look

Recently, I have this fascination with blue tones. Whenever I do my shopping, blues always attract my eyes. I also think that blues mixes well with my peach/ pink hair. The combination of blues and pinks brings a more youthful feel.

Pro-Contrast

Summer might be officially over but my summer pool photos and coordinates are still deep. Reason for that is that I was very busy that I barely have time to blog. Just waiting for things to stabilize and will definitely go back to regular programming.

Fixing

For this style post, let’s throwback to my first trip to Boracay this year when summer was in its full power.

Hot Summer

Pool Of Dark

I opted to wear a dark themed coordinate which contrasts my light dipped dye hair.

White Heat

White has been a staple color for the summer season. All throughout my vacation and out of towns this year, it seems that the prevailing color is white. Well quite honestly, white has been the “to go to” color for summer. Maybe because it was said to attract less heat? I really do not know but white is almost synonymous with summer.

White and Serenity

Captured The Light

It is quite easy to don a white ensemble as it matches perfectly with almost all colors just like black and gray for a basic normcore look or you can match white with loud colors like pink or purple for a youthful summer look.

For this coordinate, I paired a white printed shirt with my fave color as my bottom and topped with a wide brimmed hat.

Staples: Black and White

Please watch out for the first entry from my Summer Diary series this year coming very soon. So watch this space! I think you might have guess where the first destination is?

Technicolored

Dressing up on the beach is really tricky but at the same time a challenge I enjoy doing. Why do I say that? Mainly because when you buy your outfit pre-vacation: your skin is lighter, hair is the perfect color (for me blonde) and you tried to get ready for your vacation by being a little too watchful of what you eat. Then when you beach vacation starts: you eat (a lot!), stay in the sun longer (because you have so much fun and it’s always picture perfect under the sun) and your hair becomes more brassy (in case for my blonde hair – thanks to the sea).

Cue Beyonce’s “Deja Vu”

Zambales Life

For this summer, I tried (planned?) to be as colorful and bold on my coordinates but whenever I see monotones, my mind always says, “that’s perfect for you!”. So what better thing to do? Pack all the most colorful pieces you have and bring some blacks and gray. It’s just a matter of mixing and finding the balance for your coordinates.

Fashion has no rules. Style is what makes you an individual. Experiment with your coordinates. Have fun under the sun and get a tan. And most importantly, be confident.

Sunshine and a Little Pink

Beach is a happy place for me. It’s as if the sands, sun and sea arr the remedy to my stressed body. What I’m planning to do is to visit as much beach destinations as possible. Who wouldn’t want to travel and enjoy the beach?

Beach Trip!

Tropicana

As much as I love the beach, I am not like the others who stay in the waters – swim & snorkel, do extreme water activities, etc. but instead I am more like a lazy beach bum. As in literally a bum. I just love lounging in the sands (preferrably under the shade), read a book, listen to the clashing of the waves and take a lot of picture (most of the time, of myself or my beach OOTDs).

Not to pass on a beach OOTD, my very first style post is from my very first vacation of the year, which is in Bolinao, Pangasinan. I’ll blog more about my 2nd visit in Bolinao very soon.

For this style post, I opted to wear an all black ensemble. I always believe that you will never go wrong with black. To accent the monotonous color, I brought along with me a pink Oriental cover-up which by the way matches my new hair color!

Nothing Short of Sunshine

Sleeved Top from Uniqlo. Shorts from Uniqlo. Cover-up from Cotton On. Sunglasses from Sunnies Studios.

More travel soon, I will try to top my 2015 travel diaries. I really hope so. More OOTDs and I’ll try to be a better blogger by doing more blog entries.

Tropics + Serenity

Thanks for keeping up with me and reading my online space for almost three years now. I love you all!

Vivid Summer

“There’s this saying: in an all blue world, colour doesn’t exist. If something seems strange, you question it; but if the outside world is too distant to use as a comparison then nothing seems strange” ~ Alex Garland, The Beach

Pop of Color in Sea of Blue and Green

I Have Soft Spot For Rocks

For my second style post in El Nido, I decided to wear something colorful. Though blacks, whites, grays and neutrals are considered my home in the color wheel, once in a while I want to wear pop of colors. Summer would be and always be the perfect time of the year to wear brights. This OOTD screams bold and carefree. Be bold to choose striking colors and don’t be afraid to standout. Be carefree like a summer sun, always shining and smiling.
